あらゆる製品、作品のデザイナーに敬意を。ゲストを明かさない実験販売企画「DESIGNER PRODUCT MARKET」。今回は2023年4月以来の第2弾。モノには作り手の思いや実用性や抽象性等のよくみなければ気が付かない造詣や素材、デザインへの拘りが宿っています。Hand To Mouthでは、そんな思いを尊敬して汲み取りながら、国内外から、様々な人との出会いから流れ着いてきたモノを扱ってきました。本企画は、その原点に立ち返る試みです。匿名でお招きしたゲストのプロダクトを、会期終了まで告げずに店内に並べます。ブランドや作家名という情報をなくした時、そのモノはどのように評価されるのか。「価値とは何か？」モノの純粋な在り方を問い直すシリーズ企画、ぜひお楽しみください。

A tribute to the designers of all products and creations. “DESIGNER PRODUCT MARKET” is an experimental sales event that keeps its guests anonymous. This marks the second installment since April 2023. Objects embody the creator’s intentions, practicality, and abstract qualities—as well as the craftsmanship, materials, and design sensibilities that often go unnoticed unless you look closely. At Hand To Mouth, we have always handled items that have found their way to us through encounters with various people, both domestically and internationally, while respecting and embracing these intentions. This project is an attempt to return to those roots. We will display products from anonymously invited guests in our store without revealing their identities until the end of the exhibition. When stripped of information such as brand names or the creators’ names, how will these objects be evaluated? “What is value?” Please enjoy this series that reexamines the pure essence of objects.
