山中一宏教授の指導のもと、インテリアデザインコースの学部生および大学院生計13名が取り組んだ卒業制作。本展はプロダクトデザインやコンテンポラリーファーニチャーの領域において、既存の枠組みを解体し再構築した家具、およびインテリアエレメントの展示である。大学での展示とは異なり、本展では作品を単に「鑑賞対象」としてではなく、公共空間を構成する「要素」として再定義する。SKACという生きた空間において、実際に座り、触れるという身体的経験は、単なる機能の確認に留まらない。家具がどのように周囲の環境と溶け合い、人々の振る舞いや空間の質を形作っていくのか。公共空間における物のあり方を探求する試みである。

Graduation projects undertaken by thirteen undergraduate and graduate students in the Interior Design Course under the guidance of Professor Kazuhiro Yamanaka. This exhibition presents furniture and interior elements that deconstruct and reconstruct existing frameworks within the fields of product design and contemporary furniture. Unlike typical university exhibitions, this show redefines the works not merely as “objects for viewing,” but as “elements” that constitute public space. Within the living space of SKAC, the physical experience of actually sitting on and touching the pieces goes beyond simply confirming their function. It explores how furniture blends with its surroundings, shaping people’s behavior and the quality of the space. This is an attempt to investigate the nature of objects within public space.
