そのへんを転がる野良の照明。照明として光る機能を有するが明確な用途はなく自由気ままに空間に存在する。ゴム製の本体は柔軟性に優れ、蹴ったり投げたりすることで予期せぬ挙動で弾んだり、どこか隙間に挟み込むことで形を歪めたり、人と空間に影響されながら様々な表情を見せる。照明は光を照らす道具として人々の生活をより自由なものにしてきたが、時代とともに用途が固定化し無味乾燥な存在と化しているように感じる。Stray Lampでは照明を単に光を照らすための機械的な存在から解放し、自らが居場所を探し出すような自由奔放な存在にデザインした。

A stray lamp that rolls around. Although it has the function of glowing as a light, it has no clear purpose and exists in space at will. The rubber body is highly flexible, and when kicked or thrown, it can bounce in unexpected ways, or when inserted into a gap somewhere, it can distort its shape, showing various expressions while being affected by people and space. Stray Lamp is designed to free lighting from a mechanical existence that merely shines light, and to create a free-spirited existence that finds its own place in the world.
